In April, the 5th edition of the “Parkinson’s Active Walk” took place, held by the Human Movement Research Laboratory (MOVI-LAB) of UNESP in Bauru, in favor of the World Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Day, a very important date to discuss the symptoms of the disease and its treatment possibilities.
The 5th walk was on April 7, 2024 at 8:30 am, on Avenida Getúlio Vargas, starting in front of the Copaíba tree (height of the Federal Police building). The event is always free and open to the community and is attended by family and friends of the students of the Ativa Parkinson project.
In addition to promoting awareness of Parkinson’s disease, we emphasize the importance of exercise and the benefits it offers for people with or without Parkinson’s disease.
Come be part of our journey in the next events and get to know a little more about our project!
